MEDCO’s staff directly promotes economic development and assists in maximizing new economic opportunities statewide through active service on boards and advisory positions within various organizations. Additionally, MEDCO makes recommendations and collaborates with state, local and county entities by obtaining and coordinating the procurement of administration studies and reports to access the feasibility of potential projects and provide recommendations.




At MEDA, our focus is on professional development, partnerships and networking, and promoting economic development as a valuable investment for all communities. Our members are committed to bringing jobs and capital to Maryland. Bob Brennan has been involved with MEDA for many years. He previously served MEDA as Board President and Chair of the Business Development Committee. Bob continues his leadership today as an advisor on the Council of Past Presidents and as Finance Manager.

Bainbridge Development Corporation
Bainbridge Development Corporation (BDC) was created by the Maryland General Assembly in 1999 to plan, initiate and oversee the activities necessary to convert the approximately 1,200-acre site (formerly the U.S. Bainbridge Naval Training Center) into a mixed-use development, adaptable to the changing needs and trends of the marketplace.
MEDCO’s Executive Director is an ex officio member of the BDC Board and provides advisory services to support the BDC’s mission to bring economic opportunities and jobs to Cecil County. MEDCO’s Executive Director is one of 15 members serving on its Board of Directors.
